About This Station
NewingtonWeather.COM is operated by Scott & Eva Greczkowski as a service to the people of Newington, Connecticut and beyond. Weather observations come from a Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station at SatelliteGuys Headquarters in Newington, with lightning data supplied by a Tempest Weather Station. Data is collected and updated every 5 seconds using Weather Display software.
Our Weather Equipment
The station includes an anemometer, rain gauge and UV sensors positioned for the highest practical accuracy. Together with the Tempest lightning station, the equipment provides the live local observations displayed throughout NewingtonWeather.COM.
About Newington
Newington was founded in 1871. The name means “New Town in the Meadow.” The town is located in Hartford County, Connecticut and is home to the headquarters of the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
Near the center of town is Mill Pond Falls, celebrated each fall during Newington’s Waterfall Festival. Newington is also home to the American Radio Relay League and its famous W1AW station, known to amateur radio operators around the world.
About the Operators
This weather site is operated by Scott and Eva Greczkowski of Newington, Connecticut. Scott and Eva founded SatelliteGuys.US in 2003, a community devoted to satellite television and home theater technology.
Scott and Eva are avid dog lovers and operate PuppiesOfNewington. They also enjoy giving back to the Newington community, including supporting local families and organizations. NewingtonWeather.COM was created as another way to provide a useful service to local residents.
Scott and Eva were married in front of Mill Pond Falls in Newington on June 30, 2002 by former Newington Mayor Roy Zartarian. They are proud to call Newington home.
